Family Affairs

Alright, I know it's been forever since I've posted anything but to be honest I don't have any really cool updates about baby to post... so, I'll just give you an activity update about Charlie and I. Now that I'm in my second trimester the docs are kind of just letting me 'wait it out' or so it feels. I'm only seeing the high risk doc every 4 weeks and my regular doc every 2 weeks (in addition to some visits to the diabetes educator sporadically in-between!)

So in our free-time (yeah right), Charlie and I got to go home to Wisconsin to see my youngest sister get married! It was a beautiful quiet little ceremony at a rooftop restaurant in downtown Milwaukee. We got to see my little niece Ezrah for the first time since our wedding, and she was an absolute doll (see photo below).

The little princess playing with her favorite toy...
Rocks (a girl after my own heart)!

My sister was beautiful, the wedding was classy and by the end of the night Charlie and I were left with an awesome new brother-in-law (a first for us both). We are so excited for them, and excited to give Ezrah her first (well maybe second) new baby cousin!

 The beautiful new couple!

The trip was short but packed full of lots of crazy family activity. I would post more photos but I don't want to steal K's thunder (to see more photos check her blog in a few days).

After making it back to Seattle I spent the next 2 days sleeping (literally!) and Charlie headed back to work. Things are going well and I will try to post again when I have more to share!

Oh... I didn't see a doctor this week but I do have my own sneaky ways of checking on the little scout at work so just incase you were worried he is still doing okay, strong heartbeat and very active. I don't have a good photo but I have a close up snapshot of him being a little stinker and griping onto his own umbilical cord! See the blurry, pixelated photo below! :)

Our little bean being a stinker!

  1. Is doing covert ultrasounds on Scout a little like stealing a stapler from the office? or more like stealing the copying machine? Orrrrr like using the copying machine for personal business :):)
Any picture of little Scout is a good one!
